Your local model is the primary reasoner and stays in control, and your documents never leave. When one public concept is genuinely missing, only a narrow, sanitized, non-sensitive question may reach the cloud, under an assistance contract that lists exactly what is never sent: your documents, your data, and the specifics of your question. Cloud-level help, without handing the cloud your knowledge.
Powerful answers that stay local and prove themselves
You keep the productivity of a capable assistant: it reads across your sources, reasons over them, and answers with per-source citations. In Evidence-only mode, every claim is checked against the passage it cites before you ever see it, so a confident answer and a truthful answer become the same thing.
The egress seal
The vault door. Every answer carries a seal: either “Nothing left this device” or the byte-exact payload you approved before it was sent. Local mode is enforced at the network transport layer and proven by a tripwire test that ships with the product.
Verified grounding, not prompted grounding
After the model answers, a local verifier checks every sentence against the passages it cites: supported, weak, or quarantined. In Evidence-only mode, unsupported claims are removed before you ever see them.
Indexed once, asked everywhere
A source is a folder, indexed exactly once. Workspaces are pointer sets: attach or detach a source instantly, no copies, no re-embedding. Answers cite which source every fact came from.
